What the exact area changes.

The plot is sold as 10 Marla, but the tape measurement gives 2,275 sq ft, 25 sq ft more than the nominal 2,250. Setbacks, covered-area limits and the number of floors come from the bylaws of the society or authority that approves the map (LDA, DHA and private societies each publish their own), so check the current rules for your plot before design starts. Working from the measured area, not the nominal one, keeps the drawings and the approval file consistent.
